Search is a central part of the Sales Navigator experience. As part of our commitment to improving customer experience with Sales Navigator, Search has been reconfigured to reduce the time it takes to find successful results.
The Search experience in Sales Navigator includes:
- A cleaner and more organized look and feel which includes:
- A collapsible two-panel view of all available filters to search for leads and accounts to make it easy to see all available filter options.
- Intuitive filter grouping that makes it easier for you to choose the right filters for your search.
- Live updating of results as you add and remove filters allowing you to refine your search results in real time.
- Capability to pin and unpin filters. You can view your pinned filters, and also revert to using the default pins in your search criteria.
- Modifications to previously available Search elements:
- Keywords to filters mapping - While searching for a lead, as you enter keywords, Sales Navigator will suggest filter combinations for you to use based on the keywords you have entered. These filter combinations are limited to queries that match the Current job title, Geography, Current company and School filters.
- Suggested filters - As you search for a lead or an account, Sales Navigator will suggest additional filters that you can specify to refine your lead and account search results. The suggestions are limited to the following filters:
- For lead search - Current company, Geography, Seniority level and Function.
- For account search - Headquarters location, Industry, and Company headcount.
- Highlights on lead and account results – In your search results, recent activity is highlighted for each lead and account. For example, with these highlights, you can quickly tell which lead or account has mutual connections, is a past customer, or recently posted content on LinkedIn. These highlights help you to quickly identify conversation starters or can help you quickly prioritize leads or accounts that you want to engage with.
- The keyword search bar that was previously available at the top of the left-hand column on the results page has been removed, but the Search bar available above the Search results provides the same functionality. You can use this Search bar to locate keywords and boolean modifiers.
- Sales preferences have been removed but saved searches fulfill the same shortcut function.
- Changes to previously available filters:
- New filter grouping - To improve visibility and to make it easier for you to access, all sales intelligence related filters have been regrouped into the following:
- Buyer Intent filter group: Includes all intent filters designed to help you identify leads who are most likely interested in your product and service.
- Best Path In filter group: Includes filters that leverage your network to discover the most efficient way to connect with target organizations.
- Recent Updates filter group: Includes filters that highlight leads with recent changes who are most likely to respond to your outreach efforts.
- Current company and Past company filters for an account list – You can now filter search results by an account list within the Current company filter or the Past company filter. With this enhancement, you can now find new leads who once worked at your customer company.
- Seniority level filter – The Seniority level filter has been updated to include new data sets. Also, the Partner dataset is no longer a separate entity, but is contained within the Owner seniority level dataset. The new datasets included in the Seniority level filter include Experienced manager, Entry-level manager and Strategic.
- The Posted Content filter in lead search has been deprecated – The Posted Content filter in lead search is no longer available. We recommend that you use the Posted on LinkedIn filter to find leads who are active on the platform and are likely to interact with you.
- The Became a Member filter has been removed.
- Past Lead and Account Activity filters are now combined and available as People you interacted with.
- CRM contacts filter is now People in CRM.
