Smart features use automated systems to recognize patterns in LinkedIn Messaging to help you better manage your inbox.
Examples of smart features include:
- Focused Inbox (sorts messages by relevance)
- Message nudges (reminds you about messages you haven’t responded to)
- Smart replies (shows you personalized message response suggestions)
To control smart features:

Click the
Me icon at the top of your LinkedIn homepage. -
Click Settings & Privacy.

Click Data Privacy on the left pane.

Under the Messaging experience section, click the
Arrow icon next to the smart feature you want to turn on or off. -
Toggle right or left to turn a feature on or off.
- Changes are automatically saved.
