Workplace verification via Entra - Troubleshooting

Here are some tips that may be helpful if you run into issues with the workplace verification on your profile. Check the following :

  • Name doesn’t match - Your workplace name must match the name on your LinkedIn profile. If you have a LinkedIn profile in another language, your workplace name also needs to match the name on your secondary profile. Your verification will not be added to your LinkedIn profile unless they match.
  • Workplace verification has already been used - If your workplace account is already associated with a LinkedIn profile, it can’t be used with another profile. 
  • Workplace/Company change
    • If you switch jobs and the new company has enabled Workplace verification via Entra, you may be able to add a new verification to your profile. The verification from your previous company will still be visible on your profile, and you can still access all of your current and past verifications by visiting https://www.linkedin.com/mypreferences/d/verifications
    • If you switch jobs and the new company has NOT enabled workplace verification via Entra, your previous workplace verification will still be visible on your profile. You can access past verifications by visiting https://www.linkedin.com/mypreferences/d/verifications
