Add or remove a custom button from your profile

Who can use this feature?

This feature is available only to a select group of LinkedIn Premium Business, Sales Navigator, and Recruiter Lite subscribers. This feature may be gradually available to more LinkedIn users in the future.

Directly access the custom button

Add a custom button to your profile to highlight your business, service, or blog.

Access custom button

As a Premium Business subscriber, you can add a custom button to your profile. The custom button will link to the URL of your choice and can be edited or deleted anytime.

You can choose to add one of these options as a custom button:

  • Visit my store
  • Visit my website
  • View my portfolio
  • View my blog
  • Book an appointment
  • Subscribe to newsletter

Once added, the custom button is displayed on:

  • Profile
  • Search Results
  • Messages
  • Feed

Important to know

For any members who have added a profile link, adding a custom button will replace the profile link.

To add a custom button to your profile:

  1. Click the   Me icon at the top of your LinkedIn homepage.

  2. Click View Profile.

  3. Click Add custom button in your introduction section.

  4. In the Custom Button pop-up window, select Premium custom button.

  5. Click Select button and select one of the options as your custom button.

  6. Add a link in the URL text box.

    Here's a tip

    If you want to show your custom button on posts, messages, and search results, switch the toggle On next to Increase button visibility.

  7. Click Save.

To remove custom button from your profile:

  1. Navigate to your profile and click the  Edit icon in your introduction section.

  2. Scroll down to the Custom button section and select None.

  3. Click Save.

Notes:

  • You can also click on the  Edit icon in your introduction section and scroll down to the Custom button section to add a custom button.

  • To ensure that LinkedIn remains a safe community, we recommend that you only add custom links, in accordance with LinkedIn’s User Agreement and Professional Community Policies.
