We only support Microsoft O365 and Google Workspace as providers for this integration.
After your IT admin has integrated your company email and calendar platform, you can navigate to Product Settings > Preferences > Company email and calendar provider, and then select a provider for your organization. You can disable the feature by selecting Do Not Integrate. If you select this option, all users with email and calendar syncing authorized will automatically be un-authorized, and no new authorizations will be possible until an email and calendar is selected. You can see this guide for more details Enable email and calendar integrations as an Admin in Recruiter.
Email syncing gives recruiters a more comprehensive view of their communication history with candidates, and cuts down on time switching between platforms. It is designed to elevate team collaboration by allowing your recruiters to share specific candidate conversations, which improves overall team visibility and transparency when making hiring decisions. This added context can increase hiring efficiency and result in more tailored outreach, which in turn improves the candidate experience.
All Recruiter users who use both email and InMail to communicate with candidates or conduct outreach.
No, after you have turned the feature on, all Recruiter users must individually authorize the integration in their email and calendar settings to turn on this integration. For more details, see the Authorize your email and calendar settings in Recruiter.
No, an admin must select a company email and calendar provider before users can individually authorize both the email and calendar integrations.
While it may be possible to connect your personal email, we recommend using your company email, as your personal email may contain private conversations that you may not want to sync to Recruiter.
Your Google Workspace or Entra ID (formerly Azure) admin may need to follow the integration guide specific to your new provider (links to guides), and you, the Recruiter Admin, will need to select the new provider in your Company Settings. In addition, all individual users will need to re-authorize in their email and calendar settings.
No, once you complete the 2FA steps, we will save an OAuth token so you don’t have to go through it again.
Once an email is matched and stored, the visibility of the email in Recruiter is automatically set to Private to me. The owner of the emails can determine whether they want to keep the entire email thread private or change its visibility to their organization. If the owner of the email thread chooses to make the thread visible to their organization, any new email in the thread will also be visible to the organization.
Yes, after your Google Workspace admin has integrated Google Workspace, a Recruiter admin has selected Google Workspace as the company email and calendar provider, and individual users have authorized the integration, users will be able to use Google Meet as an option for scheduling screening interviews via InMail.
At this time, we only sync emails from email addresses that are associated with a member’s LinkedIn profile and have their profile discovery setting by email set to Anyone on Linkedin turned on. In addition, we ignore any emails that use the same domain as the email you authorized with (e.g. if your email domain was @xyz.com, then and emails to/from an email address using the @xyz.com domain would not be synced). If you suspect that the email isn’t syncing due to a different reason, please open a support ticket so we may better assist you.
When an authorized user deletes a previously synced email from their Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace Inbox, the email will also be automatically deleted on LinkedIn. Deauthorizing will also not delete any previously synced emails. However, all emails that are synced are by default private. If a user or contract would like to have these emails deleted, without having to delete the emails from their own Inbox, they would need to go make a request by following our GDPR data deletion guidelines. See LinkedIn Talent Solutions and The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
At this time, we only sync emails that are sent or received after you authorize email syncing. Once these emails are imported, they are available permanently on Recruiter.
