Sales Navigator CRM Sync Permissions

Who can use this feature?

CRM Sync is supported only with Sales Navigator Advanced Plus edition.

Following are the CRM Sync permissions that are required to perform specific tasks:

  • Read-Only Permissions

    This level of admin permissions, along with user-authentication, enables almost all of the CRM Integration features (e.g., Activity Writeback) that are available after you have established the CRM Sync connection.

    Here's a tip

    Activity Writeback only requires user authentication and not admin-level authentication. 


    Retroactive writeback works on all Sales Navigator activities as far back as June 23rd, 2021. Any activity prior to this date isn't available for writeback.

  • Read and Write Permissions

    The ability to update contact and lead records requires that a user has read and write permissions for the specific record that they are trying to update.

  • No Access (Sync not Enabled)

    This level of permissions would mean the admin has not provided enough CRM access permission to enable any CRM Sync functionality.

Important to know

All listed objects and their respective fields must be visible to the CRM profile that is used to connect the sync.
