The Search appearances page details how frequently your profile is listed in search results on LinkedIn. This page also provides insights about the searchers, such as top companies and job titles, which can be used to show professional opportunities that may be relevant to you.
This data is updated weekly on Wednesdays and you can access it via your notifications or email. The feature can also be found on your profile (if you have Creator Mode on, it can be found on your Creator dashboard).
Using the Search appearances feature data
Keeping your profile updated with your most recent experience may help your profile appear in more relevant results.
You can also use the data on this page to understand how well your profile is optimized for search. For example, if you update your experience to add a new role, you can monitor your Search appearances data to assess whether that change helped your profile to appear in more search results. The more search results you appear in, the greater the chance you may be found for relevant opportunities.
Difference between Search appearances and Who's viewed your profile feature
Search appearances feature is available to all LinkedIn members and shows how many times your profile was listed in search results, but this does not necessarily indicate that your searchers clicked through and visited your profile. Additionally, Search appearances data doesn't show individual details of people who searched for your profile and instead offers a high level overview of their companies and job titles.
The Who's viewed your profile feature displays your profile visitors in the last 90 days, and can provide additional trends and insights about viewers. You will need a Premium account to be able to view all the insights and details.
