Here are some tips that may be helpful if you run into issues with adding identity verification to your profile using your DigiLocker credentials. Check the following:
- Location: The location on your LinkedIn profile must be India. You must also be currently logged in with an IP address in India.
- Age limit: You must be 18 years old.
- DigiLocker account: To verify your identity using your DigiLocker credentials, your DigiLocker account must be connected to an Aadhaar. Otherwise, we encourage you to explore the other verification options that may be available to you.
- Name doesn’t match: The name on your DigiLocker credentials must match the name on your LinkedIn profile. If you have a LinkedIn profile in another language, the name on your ID also needs to match the name on your secondary language profile. Your verification will not be added to your LinkedIn profile unless they match.
- Selfie image: Make sure that your face is visible, well-lit, and free from glare when submitting your face photo.
- Devices: You can access this identity verification feature through the LinkedIn mobile app (iOS and Android). The verification process is not available on web browsers. If you are using a web browser, you will be prompted with a QR code that you can scan using your mobile device.
- Data sharing is declined: We won’t be able to add the verification to your LinkedIn profile unless you grant DigiLocker permission to provide LinkedIn your name, date of birth, the photo DigiLocker has on file in connection with your connected Aadhaar, a unique identifier, and a confirmation that your DigiLocker account is linked to an Aadhaar. At the end of DigiLocker’s verification process, click on Yes, share.
