Industry tab of the Talent Pool Report in Talent Insights

Important to know

We are currently updating our industry taxonomy to align with the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) standards. The available options in Recruiter and Talent Insights are listed in Filter candidates by industry in Recruiter and Talent Insights. Note that this may not include all of the industries that are in the "Full list of V2 industries" linked at the bottom of this article. This update is rolling out gradually and you may not see this change reflected in your application yet.

The Industry tab of LinkedIn Talent Insights Talent Pool Report provides insights into the top industries that hire your target talent pool.

You can access the Industry tab on the online version of the Talent Pool Report. To access the report online, sign into LinkedIn Talent Insights and create a new Talent Pool Report or select an existing report from the Continue where you left off section in the homepage.

The Industry tab includes the following sections:
What industries are employing this talent? – This section displays the following details:
  • Professionals from your talent pool hired in each industry

  • Open jobs in each industry that fit the criteria of your talent pool

  • The hiring demand in each industry

  • Gender distribution of talent in each industry
  • Top employers of your talent pool
Where is talent flowing to and from the selected industry over the last 12 months? – This section displays the following details for each industry:
  • Talent lost
  • Talent gained
  • Ratio of talent lost to talent gained
  • Difference between talent gained and talent lost
