The ability to attach Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) tracking IDs to searches and InMail messages is optional by default. LinkedIn Recruiter stores your activity, so you don't have to take any action to enable storing.
The administrator can make this a required field for all seat holders. This will require every seat holder to enter an OFCCP Tracking ID for all searches and InMail messages.
To turn the OFCCP tracking ID requirement on or off:

Move your cursor over your profile picture at the top of your Recruiter homepage and select Product settings.

Click Preferences on the left rail.

Next to Tracking ID for searches and InMail, click Edit.

Next to Require ID, click On or Off.

Click Save.
