Ad status definitions in Campaign Manager

Your ad’s status indicates whether it has been reviewed and is ready to run, or if it needs further attention. You can view an ad’s status from the Ads tab in Campaign Manager.

Ad status Definition
Active The ad has been reviewed and approved. The ad can run once the start date of the campaign group and campaign has been reached. 
Archived The ad has been archived and isn’t running.  
Canceled The ad has been purged from our system. This might be due to General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR), it might have been deleted from the LinkedIn Page, or the sender permissions might have been revoked. To activate the ad, you must create a new ad. 
Deleted The ad has been deleted and can’t run. To activate the ad, you must create a new ad. 
Draft The ad hasn’t been launched. For the ad to run, you must activate it. Keep in mind the ad status is separate from the campaign status.  
In review The ad or Lead Gen Form is waiting to be reviewed and can start running if approved. 
Paused The ad has been paused and isn’t running. 
Rejected The ad or Lead Gen Form doesn’t meet our advertising guidelines and can’t run.
Not delivering - Account is on hold The ad isn’t running because the ad account is on hold. To activate the ad, the hold must be removed from your account. 
Not delivering - Campaign group completed The ad isn’t running because the campaign group end date or budget has been reached. To activate the ad, you must reactivate the campaign group. 
Not delivering - Campaign group not delivering The ad isn’t running because the campaign group is paused, archived, or not delivering. To activate the ad, you must activate the campaign group. 
Not delivering - Campaign completed The ad isn’t running because the campaign end date or budget has been reached. To activate the ad, you must reactivate the campaign. 
Not delivering - Campaign audience too small The ad isn’t running because the campaign’s target audience is too narrow. To activate the ad, you must increase your target audience size. 
Not delivering - Campaign is in draft The ad isn’t running because the campaign is a draft. To activate the ad, the campaign must be launched. 
Not delivering - Error with image The ad isn’t running because the image is unable to display. To activate the ad, you can edit the ad and reupload the image or upload a new image. 
Not delivering - Processing video The ad can run after the video has finished processing. 
Not delivering - Video failed to process The ad isn’t running because the video failed to process. It might have been due to an unexpected error, or your video length or aspect ratio may not meet our standards. To activate the ad, edit the ad and reupload the video or upload a new video.  
Not delivering - Video ad needs CTA The ad isn’t running because it's missing a call-to-action (CTA). To activate the ad, edit the ad and add a CTA. 
Not delivering - Invalid video URL The ad isn’t running because the destination URL is missing or no longer valid. To activate the ad, edit the ad and change the destination URL. 
Not delivering - Invalid URL The ad isn’t running because the destination URL is missing or no longer valid. To activate the ad, edit the ad and change the destination URL. 
Not delivering - Lead gen form required The ad isn’t running because a Lead Gen Form isn’t attached. To activate the ad, edit the ad and add a Lead Gen Form. 
Not delivering - Job listing not active The associated job listing is in review or suspended, preventing the ad from running. The ad can run when the job listing becomes active. 
Not delivering - Job listing not available The ad isn’t running because the associated job listing has been closed or deleted. To activate the ad, edit the ad to add an active job listing.
