Provide candidate feedback to a recruiter from an email notification

Last updated: 3 months ago

Recruiters can share candidate profiles for feedback from within LinkedIn Recruiter. When a recruiter requests you to provide feedback on a candidate, you'll receive an email notification so you can give feedback. The email notification is not sent immediately, so if a recruiter requests feedback for several candidates, you might receive a single notification email containing multiple requests. If you're not receiving LinkedIn emails, check your spam and junk folders.

When you receive a request to provide feedback on a candidate:
  • You will receive an email from LinkedIn Hiring Manager (hm-noreply@linkedin.com) to the primary registered address listed on your LinkedIn account.

  • The email will direct you to LinkedIn to review the candidate profile and provide feedback on the user.

If you have a Hiring Manager license on a Recruiter contract, you can also provide feedback on candidates directly in a project.

To provide feedback on a candidate from an email notification:

  1. Open the feedback request email.
  2. Click the Give Feedback button found within the email.

    • If you’re not logged in to your LinkedIn account, you’ll be directed to sign in.
  3. Click Not a fit or Good Fit.

    • You can click Dismiss to ignore the feedback request.
  4. (Optional) Enter your comments in the textbox provided.

    • If you selected  Not a fit, you can select up to six attributes to provide details on why the candidate is not a fit.
  5. Click Submit.

The recruiter will receive a notification after you submit your feedback.

Important to know

Feedback requests can’t be forwarded to other users. Any recruiter who has access to the project and candidate profile in Recruiter can view the feedback.
