Import candidates to a project in Recruiter and Recruiter Lite

Last updated: 3 months ago

You can import candidates to a project in LinkedIn Recruiter and LinkedIn Recruiter Lite. In Recruiter, you can import a single candidate or a spreadsheet containing multiple candidates, so that all leads, from any source, can be tracked and shared within Recruiter. In Recruiter Lite, you can import one candidate at a time.

To import a single candidate to a project in Recruiter:

  1. Click Projects at the top of your Recruiter homepage.

  2. Click the project title.
    • You can use the search bar and filters on the left to locate your project.
  3. On the Talent pool tab, click Add a candidate at the top of your search results.
  4. To find a candidate using their name, under LinkedIn Member, enter the candidate’s name and select it from the dropdown.

    • First Name (required)
    • Last Name (required)
    • Email (required)
    • Phone (optional)
    • Current Position (optional)
    • Current Company (optional)

You’ll see a pop-up window appear temporarily in the bottom left corner of the page confirming the candidate was saved to your project. You’ll be returned to your search results.

Note: If the name and email address you provided matches a LinkedIn member’s profile, your candidate import will be linked to their LinkedIn profile. Click Show me to return to the Pipeline tab of your project.

You can import multiple candidates, or connections you exported from your LinkedIn profile, to a project in Recruiter.
