LinkedIn Page for Sponsored Content campaigns

To launch a Sponsored Content ad campaign, you must have a LinkedIn Page and/or Showcase Page attached to your ad account in Campaign Manager. Sponsored Content ads are shown beyond the feed of a Page’s followers to members of a selected target audience.

Sponsored Content campaigns can be created in two ways:

  • In the Campaign Manager tool

  • Boosting the post from the Page

Here's a tip

You’ll need super admin or content admin access on your LinkedIn Page to boost a post. If you're an admin you can sponsor Page posts in Campaign Manager.

When a LinkedIn Page admin posts on their Page, it's known as an organic post. The organic post is shown on the Page and in the of members who are following that Page. A super or content admin can then choose to sponsor an organic post on their Page in an ad campaign, which will extend its reach beyond the Page followers to a broader target audience.

Because all organic posts originate from the Page, it's required to have a Page associated with the ad account to sponsor the content.
