We offer a suggested budget for promoted jobs based on job posts with similar titles and locations. Your actual job spend amount depends on the number of qualified clicks your job receives while it’s promoted. Qualified clicks are determined based on Advanced Targeting criteria you input, such as locations, preferred skills, and must-have skills.
Here are some frequently asked questions on promoted job pricing.
-
You can set the total budget amount that you're willing to spend on your promoted job. Bidding occurs automatically for each job view on a cost-per-click basis. You only pay the automated bid amount when a qualified member clicks to view your promoted job.
-
Even though your spend might vary based on actual clicks, you’ll never pay more than the total budget for this job.
-
If a job post has a remaining budget, but the dashboard has reached the monthly or contract limit, the job promotion will be paused and the job will remain posted as basic until it expires.
-
You can edit, pause, or close promotion at any time.
Recommended budgets for Recruiter and Recruiter Lite are calculated based on the following criteria:
- Recruiter: The recommended budget is calculated based on factors such as the number of qualified members on LinkedIn, the number of similar jobs on LinkedIn, and the budget of similar jobs on LinkedIn at the time of posting. When the system develops a recommended budget, it is using the information we have to give an estimate of what budget the job would need to be successful.
- Recruiter Lite: The recommended budget for Recruiter Lite takes into account the job title, industry, location, and other factors. As some of these factors are not consistent across all job posts, the recommended budget is calculated based on the performance of similar job posts on LinkedIn. For example, the recommended budget for an assistant is different than that of a VP.
A monthly spend limit is the limit the dashboard admin places on promotion across all posted jobs.
Jobs may contribute different spends towards this limit but won't cumulatively exceed this limit.
You’ll receive notifications once you reach 70%, 90%, and 100% of your spend limit to adjust it accordingly. Once the monthly spend limit is reached, job promotion will be paused across all jobs. Jobs will remain open until expiration, like basic jobs.
You’ll be charged for:
- Clicks on promoted jobs from logged in LinkedIn members
- Clicks from members who meet your Advanced Targeting criteria
- Unique job post clicks (if the same member clicks multiple times per day, you’ll only be charged once)
You won’t be charged for:
- Clicks from LinkedIn members who don’t meet your Advanced Targeting criteria
- Clicks on your own job post
With lifetime pacing enabled the daily budget will vary, depending on the expected views for the job on that day and remaining budget. The daily budget will never be greater than double the static budget (total budget divided by job duration).
The amount spent accrued for each individual job on the jobs tab will only show spend for the last job that was promoted in a project.
However, the contract spent so far limit will show the entire spend accrued from all jobs that have had spend on the current contract.
