Event ads advertising specifications

Last updated: 3 weeks ago
Event ads are a form of Sponsored Content that appear directly in a member’s LinkedIn feed. The ads promote one LinkedIn Event from your Page. They are served to members on desktop and mobile devices and are optimized to highlight important event details.

Event ads also provide a live event capability where advertisers can provide their targeted audience with a different ad experience before, during, and after an event. The specifications for a live event ad are the same as an event ad.

Important to know

• We’re gradually releasing live event ads, and you might not have access to the feature at this time.

• Live events ads aren’t a new ad format; they provide exclusive features for live events hosted on LinkedIn under the existing Sponsored Content event ad format.

• Live event ads are currently only available for the Classic ad campaign type with the brand awareness, engagement, or website visits objectives.

The advertising specifications required for an event ad and live event capabilities are:

  • Name this ad (optional) - Use up to 255 characters to name your ad.

  • Introductory text (optional) - Add optional introductory text up to 600 characters.

    • For live event ads - the same introductory text is used in the ads shown before the event, during the event, and after the event. It’s recommended that you either add introductory text that is relevant for all three stages, create three Classic live event ad campaigns (one for each stage), or not add any introductory text.
  • LinkedIn event URL - Add the URL for your LinkedIn event.

Important to know

Ads can be rejected if they don't meet our advertising guidelines.
