Licenses, roles, and permissions in Recruiter

Last updated: 2 months ago

Licenses give users access to specific core features in LinkedIn Recruiter. Licenses are assigned by Recruiter admins based on the role users play in the sourcing or hiring process.

In addition to licenses, admins can assign permissions to give users access to additional features as needed. Permissions are divided between paid (limited) and free (unlimited). Paid permissions must be combined with a Hiring Project Creator license. The number available are tied to the number of Hiring Project Creator licenses on your contract. Other permissions are unlimited and can be combined with any license type.

Licenses and permissions are bundled to create roles. Admins can choose which combination of license and permissions to assign by selecting a role for each user. Some roles are preset combinations of a license plus permissions, but admins can also select custom roles.

Understanding the different levels of access granted by each license and permission type will help you determine which role to assign to users. Learn more about the available license and permission types in Recruiter.
