Share Reports in LinkedIn Sales Insights

Last updated: 3 years ago

LinkedIn Sales Insights allows you to share reports with team members on your Sales Insights contract. Any user within a Sales Insights contract can share a report, but only an admin user can rename or delete a shared report.

When you share a report with team members, they can view the report in read-only mode. Other team members can view information on filters, personas, and metrics that were selected in the report. But they can't make changes to the report that affect metrics such as editing filters, personas, and metrics columns. If team members need to make changes to a report that is shared with them, they will have to make a copy of the report. Learn more about copying a report.

Important to know

Sharing reports with a specific team member on your Sales Insights contract is not available right now.

LinkedIn Sales Insights provides two methods to share a report with your team members. You can share a report from the Reports tab, or open a specific report and share it.

  1. Sign in to LinkedIn Sales Insights.

  2. From the Reports tab, click the More icon to the right of the saved report.

Or you can open a specific report, and click the Actions dropdown displayed on the top right-hand corner, below your profile photo.

  3. Click Share with the team.

  4. In the pop-up that appears, click Share.

The report is then shared with team members on your Sales Insights contract. You'll notice an icon next to the report name that indicates that the report has been shared with your team. After sharing a report, you can continue to make changes to it, and team members can refresh their report to view the latest updates.

    Here's a tip

Team members can view a read-only version of the report. When team members open a shared report, they'll notice a banner on top that reads, "This is a share report. To create changes, make a copy". Learn more about copying reports in LinkedIn Sales Insights.

  5. To stop sharing a report, click on the Actions menu and click Stop Sharing.

  6. In the pop-up that appears, click Stop Sharing to confirm.

The icon that indicates a shared report is removed from the report and team members who sign in to LinkedIn Sales Insights can no longer view the report. If they made a copy of the report when it was originally shared, then that copy is still available to them.

  7. If you are an admin, you can rename or delete a report by choosing the Rename or Delete option from the Actions menu.

Filtering Reports by Ownership Status

  1. Sign in to LinkedIn Sales Insights and click Reports.

  2. On the Reports page, on the top left corner, click on any one of the following options to filter reports based on ownership status:

    • All
    • Owned by Me
    • Shared with me

The page loads reports based on the criteria you selected.
