ATS-enabled Funnel Report terms and definitions

Last updated: 1 day ago

The LinkedIn Recruiter ATS-enabled Funnel Report provides visibility into your hiring funnel so you can see how LinkedIn members interacted with paid LinkedIn solutions prior to applying for your jobs. You can track data from the ATS bottom-of-funnel stages (from Applied to Hired), along with the Recruiter top-of-funnel stages (Aware, Engaged, and Considering).

The report includes data up to 2 years before the current date. The Funnel Report is a monthly report and any activity can take up to 48 hours to appear in your reports. All reports are in Universal Coordinated Time (UTC +0).

The ATS-enabled Funnel Report focuses on the entire candidate journey, from a candidate becoming aware of the opportunity all the way through being hired. The ATS-enabled Funnel Report provides data at the company level and gives a holistic view of candidate engagement on LinkedIn. Alternatively, the Pipeline report is designed to help you understand trends in your hiring process for candidates that have applied or have been sourced for a role, including analyzing conversion rates across stages for individual projects. Reporting filters only apply to matched members. This may result in discrepancies when comparing with your ATS data.

The default industry benchmark selector is the same industry categorization as listed on your company's LinkedIn Career Page. It displays the industry benchmark selector for your company's industry sector. You can select a different industry or company size using the Benchmark filter on the left rail.

Important to know

To comply with new requirements imposed by the Digital Markets Act (DMA), benchmarks no longer include Recruiter System Connect data from the European Economic Area or Switzerland.

The Hiring funnel chart helps you understand how people move through your hiring funnel. You can drill down into the data for Influenced Hires to identify which roles are top performers in terms of candidate volume and conversion rates as people move through the hiring funnel stages. The comparison view appears if you’ve selected at least 1 Candidate function filter, 1 Seniority filter, and at least 1 additional filter in either Candidate function or Seniority. The Metric trend chart helps you understand how a metric performs over time.

Here's a tip

The hiring funnel takes into account the funnel stages a candidate progresses. In addition, the report fills in skipped ATS stages to ensure the integrity of the report. For example, if a candidate is added to the Hired stage directly from the Interviewed stage, the report will automatically add the candidate to the Offered stage. This feature is only enabled in the ATS-enabled Funnel Report and doesn’t impact any of the other available reports.

Here is a list of commonly used terms and definitions for the Recruiter ATS-enabled Funnel Report.

ATS bottom-of-funnel stages

Important to know

The ATS-enabled report ingests data from your ATS integration. The ATS bottom-of-funnel stages will include all candidate sources, including those from outside of LinkedIn. This means the ATS stages may have more candidates than the top-of-funnel stages.

The ATS stages received via RSC go through the LinkedIn standardization process to fit into each of the following common bottom-of-funnel stages:

  • Applied: Person has submitted an application to the job (example ATS stage: Application, New Application, App Review…)
  • Qualified: (Only available for LinkedIn Talent Hub) Person who has shown interested in the job is added to a LinkedIn project by a project owner
  • Screened: Person has been screened and forwarded to the next stage (example ATS stage: Screen, Phone Screen, Assessment…)
  • Interviewed: Person has interviewed in your team (example ATS stage: 1st Interview, First round…)
  • Offered: Person has an offer for the job (example ATS stage: Offer, Offer accept…)
  • Hired: Person has accepted the offer

Number of candidates in stages by function: Compare up to 3 selections (such as Engineering, research, and sales) using the global filter.

Influenced Hires measures all of your company’s hires who had one or more of the following interactions prior to being hired:

  • Jobs: viewed a job or clicked Apply.
  • Recruiter: Candidate opened an InMail, candidate accepted or responded to an InMail, candidate opened or responded to a message after being surfaced in Recruiter, or candidate viewed the Recruiter's profile after being surfaced in Recruiter and receiving a message.
  • Employer Brand: Viewed your Linkedin Employer Brand, followed your company, set a job alert, or interacted with your company posts.
  • Talent Media: Clicked a Work with Us Ad, clicked a Recruitment Ad, engaged with a Sponsored Update, interacted with your viral feeds or other talent ads.

Here's a tip

The Funnel report breaks down the Influenced Hires data by source type and includes data from your ATS. The Influenced Hires metric won’t exceed the number of Total Hires.

Important to know

Once you enable Recruiter System Connect on your contract, Recruiter data for influenced hires will be synced/backfilled from your ATS for the last 2 years. This can vary by ATS.
