As a LinkedIn member, you can access post analytics for your individual account that provides insights into the impact of your content (including short form posts, images, videos, events, polls, and articles). You can use these analytics to customize your strategy for creating content and engaging your audience. These analytics data points are specific to the post itself and not application analytics such as Poll results and Events attendee metrics.
Note: Starting April 2024, the impression count you see on your posts will include the impressions on your post as well as the impression count on any reposts of your content by another member. You may experience an increase in your impressions as a result.
Important to know
The following analytics are available for LinkedIn members:
Post Performance
-
Engagements - The total number of engagements on the post, including reactions, comments, and reposts.
-
Impressions - The number of times your post was displayed on screen. This number is an estimate and may not be precise.
-
Unique views - The number of accounts that your post was displayed to. This number is an estimate and may not be precise.
-
Top demographics of unique views - Demographic information about the unique accounts your post was displayed to at least once. Multiple impressions can come from the same unique view. If your post was displayed to one member five times, this will be counted as five impressions and one unique view.
Note: Previously, demographics analytics were shown once you reached at least 25 impressions. To enhance privacy protection for our members who are viewing posts, we have recently made a change to our demographics analytics. As part of the change, no demographics will be shown for a given demographic category until you have enough unique views for at least one result in that category. For example, you will not see any information for the category Job titles until at least one result (such as Software Engineers) reaches enough unique views. As a result of this change, your Top demographics of unique views may take longer to populate.
