Cover images in articles

Last updated: 1 year ago

Adding a cover image to your article enhances it. The cover image appears at the top of your article, making it the first thing a viewer sees. The cover image will also be the thumbnail for your article throughout LinkedIn, for example, in your newsfeed or on your profile.

Adding a cover image is optional. If you don't add a cover image, and there's an image in your article then that image is automatically selected as the thumbnail for your article.

Note: Cover images are always centered.

To add a cover image:

  1. Click Upload from computer in the cover image area above the article's Title to upload an image from your computer.

  2. Select an image and click Open.
    • For best results, cover images should be 1920 (w) x1080 (h) pixels.
  3. Add photo credits wherever applicable by clicking into the text field Add credit and caption, located below the image. For example, Credit: Getty Images.

To delete a cover image:

  1. Move your cursor over the cover image and click the Remove icon that to Remove cover image.
