LinkedIn is committed to providing a trusted environment for all of our members. Part of that commitment includes protecting LinkedIn Jobs members and companies from abuse. The company employee verification program provides protection by requiring you to verify your work email address and your place of employment when you post a job on behalf of your company.
Request a work email to be verified
You can request a work email to be verified by completing the Company Employee Work Email Verification Request form. Once we receive your request, we will email you the outcome of your verification request within 72 hours.
Ask your super admin to add your company’s email domain
You can also contact the super admin of your company page to enroll your email domain. This could result in a quicker resolution . If your company isn’t currently enrolled in email verification, the super admin of your company’s LinkedIn Page can enroll you by adding or editing your company’s email domains (e.g. name@yourcompany.com). The super admin of your company page could be a member of your marketing, IT or HR team.
Helpful Tips
If you experience problems verifying your work email address while posting a job, try these troubleshooting tips:
-
Ensure that you’re not using a personal email or public domain (e.g. gmail.com, yahoo.com, etc.). You must use an email domain associated with your company. For example, linkedin.com.
-
The email domain being verified must be associated with or owned by the company you’re posting the job under.
-
If you’re from a parent company posting a job under your subsidiary company, add the email address that’s associated with the subsidiary company to your account.
-
The provided work email address will be added to your LinkedIn.com account but won’t be listed as your primary email address.
-
The email address won’t be automatically visible to other members. Members who already have it can use it to find and connect with you, depending on your privacy settings.
-
You’ll be asked to verify your email address for the company every six months.
-
You can manage your email addresses for your LinkedIn.com account from the Account section in your Settings & Privacy page.
