This article outlines the step-by-step instructions for going live on LinkedIn using a custom stream from a Zoom Meeting or Webinar.

Access criteria to create and host LinkedIn Lives. Tigger a review of the Page or Profile to check if you fulfill the criteria.

If streaming to a LinkedIn Page, the person facilitating the stream must be a super or content poster Page admin.
To custom stream with Zoom, go to your Zoom settings and enable custom live streaming as follows:

Sign in to the Zoom web portal.

Click Settings.

On the Meeting tab, under the In Meeting (Advanced) section, enable the Allow live streaming of meetings setting.

Select the Custom Live Streaming Service check box.

Click Save to save the changes.
- If the option is grayed out, it has been locked at either the group or account level, and you'll need to contact your Zoom administrator to make changes.

(Optional) Provide instructions so that the meeting organizer can configure the required settings when they schedule the meeting.
To go live instantly using a custom stream from Zoom:

Set up the custom stream from LinkedIn.com
- Go to https://www.linkedin.com/video/golive/now.
- Under New stream, select Go live now.
- Under Create a post, select the Page you want to stream to from the
visibility dropdown, and compose your post. - Under Your stream details, add a Title for your stream.
- In the Stream settings tab, pick your region. If your region is not listed specifically, select the one closest to you. Each region is allocated a certain bandwidth, and sometimes regions run out of available bandwidth. If this happens, try selecting another region close to you.
- Click Get URL.
Do not close the LinkedIn custom stream page, as you'll be required to return to it after completing steps 2 and 3.

Add the custom stream details to Zoom
- Sign in to the Zoom web portal.
- Click Meetings.
- Click Schedule a Meeting and enter the required information to schedule a meeting.
- Click Save to display a set of tabs with advanced options.
- Click the Live Streaming tab (at the bottom, next to Polls tab), then click Configure Custom Streaming Service.
- Copy the Stream URL and Stream Key from LinkedIn’s custom stream tool, and paste them into Zoom.
- Under Live streaming page URL, copy the link for where you want to drive people to see your stream (i.e. LinkedIn Page or Profile).
- Click Save to save your live streaming settings.
- The host will be able to live stream this meeting without needing to add these settings after the meeting begins.

Get the Zoom stream to LinkedIn’s custom stream tool
Start the meeting/webinar as the host, by doing one of the following:
- From your calendar - If you have added the meeting/webinar to your calendar, click the link displayed on your calendar reminder.
- From the Zoom website
- Sign in to Zoom, find the meeting or webinar in the Meetings or Webinars page, and click Start.
- Click
More in the host controls. Choose Live on Custom Live Stream Service.

Go live
- Go back to the LinkedIn custom stream page from step 1.
- You should see a preview of your Zoom feed.
- Make sure to mute from the LinkedIn stream screen (this will allow you to use the microphone and speaker from your Zoom event).
- The Preview shows the live feed that you’ve connected on the LinkedIn custom stream page.
- If you're testing this stream, don't click Go live as this will broadcast the event to your audience. If you can view the preview, the connection was successful, and you may end the Zoom session without broadcasting on LinkedIn.
- Click Go live when you’re ready to live stream.
- Click End stream when you’re done.
- The replay will be available on your LinkedIn Event page shortly after ending the stream.
To go live to your scheduled event on LinkedIn from Zoom:

Prepare to go live on LinkedIn Live Event
- No sooner than an hour before your scheduled live stream, go to Manage streams page.
- Click Prepare to go live next to your scheduled event.
- In the LinkedIn custom stream page, under Stream settings tab, pick your region. Not all regions have a dedicated source in the Region dropdown list. If you don’t see your region, you can still go live by selecting the region closest to you. Each region is allocated a certain bandwidth, and sometimes regions run out of available bandwidth. If this happens, try selecting another region close to you.
- Click Get URL. You’ll be able to get the RTMP URL and Stream Key one hour before your scheduled start time, we recommend creating the RTMP URL and Stream Key about 15 minutes before you go live.
Do not close the LinkedIn custom stream page, as you'll be required to return to it after completing steps 2 and 3.

Add the custom stream details to Zoom
- Sign in to the Zoom web portal.
- Click Meetings.

- The Preview shows the live feed that you’ve connected on the LinkedIn custom stream page.
- If you're testing this stream, don't click Go live as this will broadcast the event to your audience. If you can view the preview, the the connection was successful, and you may end the Zoom session without broadcasting on LinkedIn.
- You can only stay in the preview mode for up to 10 minutes. If you do not click Go live before that, it’ll expire and you’ll have to set up a new stream again.
- Click Go live when you’re ready to live stream. This will broadcast the event to your audience.
- Click End stream when you’re done.
- The replay will be available on your LinkedIn Event page shortly after ending the stream.
