This release notes elaborates on all features and enhancements that are released in LinkedIn Sales Navigator in the time frame of July to September, 2021.
Sales Navigator User Updates
Understand your buyer's interest with our new Account Buyer Interest Insights. Key features include:
- Buyer Interest Score Meter: A powerful and accurate meter which will determine if an account has low to high buyer interest based on key factors.
- Key Buyer Interest Factors: Key factors our model utilizes to determine the interest score for an account. We also specified the score of each factor, which ultimately determines the overall buyer interest score.
- Top Buyer Interest Alerts: Top buyer interest alerts within the module to act quickly.
- Buyer Interest Generated List: A system-generated list of the top companies expressing interest in your company. A user can access this list within the ”Account List” tab at the top of the page. We’ll also send out a weekly digest email which will include a list of new accounts added to the buyer interest system generated list.
How does this work?

Quickly run a search and choose your preferred account from your search result or access an account page from our alert signals feed on our homepage.

Scroll down to our Account Buyer interest feature which will reveal the current buyer interest score for that respective account. Users then can act quickly by clicking on a buyer interest alert within the right panel.

Climb the decision-making ladder at key accounts with the following enhancements to Account Map:
- Filters by Function: Allows users to select specific functions to narrow down their search. The Filters by Functions is applied to Recommended Leads only.
- Outreach Activity on Account Map: View outreach activity like connection requests and InMail messages sent on Saved and Recommended Leads.
- Save Leads to a List: Allows users to choose which List to save a Lead to from the Account Map.
- Add Notes on Leads: Allows users to add notes on Leads directly from Account Map.
How does Filter by Function work?

Navigate to any Account Page by searching for an account or clicking on an account from anywhere within Sales Navigator (ex. Homepage, Account List).

Scroll down to the first section, People, or click the People icon, which will take you to the Account Map for that account.

Click the Recommended Leads tab to see the Filters by Function option.
How does Outreach Activity and Save Leads to List Work?
Outreach activity
In either the Saved Leads or Recommend Leads tab, you will see any outreach activity for that lead.
How Save leads to lists works?
Click Save. From the drop-down menu, click on Save to lists and choose which lists to add the lead to.

Sales Navigator AI will model your “ideal target buyer” by analyzing previously closed-won opportunities along with LinkedIn data and automatically recommend leads and complete your Account Map. CRM recommended leads also considers both the correct number of buyers and buyer roles that have led to success.
You can now collaborate with your colleagues across any Sales Navigator contract at your company.
You can share your Lists with any Sales Navigator user at your company, allowing all users to seamlessly collaborate and work with one another. For example, Company A has Sales Navigator contracts 1, 2, and 3. Contract 1 users can now share with any user within contract 1, 2, or 3.
How does this work?

Navigate to the Account or Lead List Hub, which is where all your accounts or lead lists live.

Share the list directly from the List Hub by clicking Share on the right side of the list.
Alternatively, users can also share the list by opening the list and clicking Share list in the top right corner.

A pop-up window will appear, where you can search for colleagues to share the list with.
Search and select the colleague’s name in the search bar and choose the level of permissions. Click Done.

The Sales Navigator Community gives you exclusive access to virtual selling discussions, success stories and best practices shared by fellow users.
All Sales Navigator license holders will now have the option to access this platform through the homepage in-product help panel.

The Sales Navigator Referral Program allows current Sales Navigator customers (Core, Advanced or Advanced Plus Editions) to refer their network to try out Sales Navigator Core for 2 months free.
You can now can provide 10 of your 1st degree connections with an exclusive extended free trial of Sales Navigator Core.
How does this work?

Navigate to the Referral Hub by clicking on Referrals on the top right, or in the drop down ? Menu.

Search for a first degree LinkedIn connection and select the correct person.

Preview the Referral message under Preview.

Share the referral by clicking Send.
Only connections who are eligible for a Premium free trial (have not used any LinkedIn.com free trial in the past 12 months) are eligible for referral.

- Retroactive Activity Writeback Enhancements - Users will now have the ability to retroactively writeback all Sales Navigator activities, including responses to InMails and Messages.
- Contextual Tooltips – Helps users get the most out of our features and workflow by gently teaching them how to use our product in context, and why these actions matter.
- Champions List email communications – Users will receive a weekly email notification of new Champions added to their List (minimum of 1 new Champion must be met in order to receive an email).
Sales Navigator Admin Updates
The new User Activation Link located within Account Center allows Sales Navigator Administrators to bulk invite new users to their contracts without sending emails (which often get lost in spam folders) or having to generate links individually, creating a smoother invitation experience.
How does this work?

Filters the user list to only invited users.

The Admin clicks the Copy invite link button.

Now that the invite link is copied, Admins can send an email from their own email app to all the invited users.

CRM Account/Team Support for Auto-Save & ROI Reporting – Sales Navigator will now power the following CRM Sync features using Account Team and Owner Team data from Salesforce and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales:
- Auto-Save: Non-entity owners of a sales team will now have accounts, leads, and contacts automatically saved in Sales Navigator, just as the actual owner of the entity does.
- ROI Reporting: Enables Sales Navigator Users to receive a more complete and accurate view of the ROI they receive from Sales Navigator, leading to them making more informed decisions.
Seat Binding Flow updates – Updates made to the flow that new provisioned users go through when they click their invitation link.
