This release notes article elaborates on all features and enhancements that are released in LinkedIn Sales Navigator in the time frame of October to December 2021.
Sales Navigator User Updates
Key updates include:
- Refreshed experience and alerts feed: Highlights the existing ability to customize the alerts feed and bookmark important alerts into a new bookmarks tab.
- Priority Accounts: Star Accounts from the saved account list to populate them as “priority accounts” on the homepage and to track high-level updates on headcount growth, employee count, open opportunities, and buyer intent as well as link out to the Account Map.
- Updated Search type-ahead: Pulls in key Search filters (geography, industry, and headcount) out of “all filters” and directly into the Search bar.
Some elements from the previous homepage design will now be found elsewhere:
- Coach has been reduced in size and moved to the opposite side of the page.
- Jump back in has been removed from the main feed of the homepage, but is still available in the Search type-ahead drop-down.
- Recommended leads and accounts has been removed from the homepage but both options are still available on Sales Navigator pages. Also, Recommended leads will be available as an auto-generated list next quarter. Recommended accounts still appear in the Priority Accounts section prior to starring accounts and in the Highlights section. But in situations where you might have had high amount of account-related activity, you may not see the Recommended accounts information.
Sellers can now create, share, and collaborate on Account Maps, making it easier to ensure that the whole team has the same view of all the necessary players in the opportunity. Sellers may also remove access to their Account Maps at any time.
How does this work?
-
Navigate to the Account Map that you would like to share and select Share in the upper right-hand corner of the Account Map to add teammates to the map.
-
Type and select the users you would like to collaborate with on the Account Map. You will receive notifications every time there is an update to your Account Map and access can be removed to your Account Maps at any time.
We’ve made changes to not just how CRM information appears within Sales Navigator, but added new places where you can view this information. For users, these changes will help them:
- Create new leads or contacts in more places within Sales Navigator to better match up with their workflows.
- Provide additional context from CRM across Sales Navigator.
Key updates include:
- New CRM Cards within Sales Navigator Lead Pages
- New CRM Badges
- Updated Experience within CRM Badge
- CRM Badges in Messaging Flows
How does new CRM Cards on Sales Navigator Lead Pages work?
On Sales Navigator Lead Pages where the Lead is matched with corresponding CRM Contacts or Leads, see critical information about that record within Sales Navigator. This information includes CRM data about the specific Contact/Lead Record and Related Accounts.
How does the new CRM Badges feature work?
The CRM Badges appearing next to Sales Navigator leads and accounts have been updated from a previous blue badge to be more accessible, and to more clearly demonstrate which records have been matched to CRM or are not in CRM. Now for each lead and account, Sales Navigator will show if the corresponding record is found in the CRM or not in CRM.
How does the updated experience with CRM Badges work?
Clicking on the CRM Badge provides additional context on both Sales Navigator Leads and Accounts from their corresponding matched CRM record. For Sales Navigator leads not found in CRM, a user can create a CRM contact or lead from wherever they see that badge within Sales Navigator.

How does CRM Badge within Messaging Flows work?
CRM Badges can now be found on InMail and Messaging pages. Users can either see more information about the corresponding CRM lead or contact, or create new CRM contacts and leads, by clicking on the corresponding badge.
- Added Access to Account Map: Sellers can now reach the Account Map through new pathways on the homepage, while saving a lead, when viewing a list, and when viewing a lead page.
- CRM Connection Request Activity Writeback: Users will be able to writeback to CRM that they have sent a connection request to a member, when that request was made through Sales Navigator.
