Recognize and report spam, inappropriate, and abusive groups content

Last updated: 4 months ago
We appreciate your help in removing inappropriate content from LinkedIn Groups. All members can report inappropriate content or spam directly from the group.
To report a group conversation or comment:
  1. Click the More icon on the upper-right corner of the conversation box or comment.
  2. Click Report this post for conversations or click Report for comments.
  3. Select your reason for reporting in the Report box.
Although spamming fellow group members isn't allowed, allowing messages from a large community can result in receiving unwanted items. If this makes you uncomfortable, you can prevent messages from group members by adjusting your settings. You can also contact a group owner or manager directly. They can decide what action, if any, will be taken.
Notes:
  • We encourage group members to post content that is relevant and unique to each group. If members post the same content across multiple groups, the post could be automatically flagged as spam and won’t be displayed to other group members.
  • If you report another group member’s content, they won’t be notified that you reported them, and you’ll no longer see the content you reported on your group feed. We may review the reported content to take additional action if the content violates our User Agreement.
  • If you're an owner or manager, you don’t have the option to report the content as you can immediately delete the conversation or comment. You can also remove or block a member from the group to delete all their contributions in the group automatically.
