There are several options to limit the contributions from a person who is posting spam in your group. You can remove the member’s individual posts and send them a message regarding their posting activity. Alternatively, you can remove or block the member. Most of the time, you can get the results you want for your group if you use the Block option to remove the member from your group. You can then delete individual postings by this member.
We don't currently support customized URLs for LinkedIn Groups. However, as a group owner or manager you can customize your group by adding an image or logo. Blocking a member takes them out of the group and prevents them from becoming a member again. Removing a member takes them out of the group but they can request to join the group again. Learn more about blocking and removing group members.
There is no automated process for merging groups. You can choose one group to keep open and create a post in the other, asking members to join the remaining group. Once you’re ready, you can then close the duplicate group. Learn more about merging groups.
We believe in transparency for group management. As a result, LinkedIn policy doesn’t allow groups to be created, managed, or moderated anonymously. Check out more information about our ownership policy.
Deleting a group is a permanent action and groups can't be reopened after they've been deleted. We recommend transferring ownership of the group to another member instead of deleting the group entirely. If you’d still prefer to remove the group entirely, check out additional information about deleting a group.
