Here are some tips that might be helpful if you run into issues adding workplace verification with your work email.
If you’re having issues verifying your work email, check the following items:
- Use the email address that has been provided to you by your company, not a personal email address.
- Check your email spam folder to ensure the verification email wasn’t routed there.
- You can only verify the workplace that’s listed on your profile as your current company in your experience section.
- If the email domain you submitted is not on the list of domains provided by your company, the verification will fail. Your work email is verified based on the domains provided by your Page admins.
- If you work for a subsidiary, division, or are a contractor of the parent company, contact the current Page admins to ensure the email domain you’re using is associated with the Page. Please note that LinkedIn Customer Support can't provide admin information to members or employees of the Page.
- If you don’t see the option to verify your workplace with work email, it might be because your current company isn’t part of our pilot launch. We’re continuing to expand workplace verification with work email to more companies.
If you’re having issues with your workplace verification displaying, check the following items:
- Auto-verification - If you’ve previously provided a work email to LinkedIn, a workplace verification with work email might already be visible on your profile. To remove it from your profile, go to Settings, choose Account preferences, and select Verifications.
- Removal of workplace verifications - Your Page admins control which email domains can be associated with the company. Your workplace verification with work email might be removed from your profile for various reasons, including, for example, if your Page admins remove the specific domain.
- Workplace/Company change:
- If you switch jobs and the new company has enabled workplace verification with work email, you may be able to add a new verification to your profile. The verification from your previous company will still be visible on your profile, and you can still access all of your current and past verifications by visiting https://www.linkedin.com/mypreferences/d/verifications
- If you switch jobs and the new company has NOT enabled workplace verification with work email, your previous workplace verification will still be visible on your profile. You can access past verifications by visiting https://www.linkedin.com/mypreferences/d/verifications
