At LinkedIn, we know that authenticity is key to creating meaningful interactions. The verification badge on a LinkedIn Page helps signal that the Page is an official Page of the organization. Verification helps organizations build credibility with potential customers, and helps members find the actual organizations they intended to engage with.
We’re gradually making Page verification available to more organizations.
To see if your Page is currently verified, go to your Verification controls settings. Verified Pages will show Verified and a verification date in settings. If your organization doesn’t have access to Page verification at this time, you can express interest in the feature from your Page’s Verification controls settings.
Once a Page is verified, a verification badge will be displayed on the Page.
Showcase Pages aren’t separately eligible for verification, but Showcase Pages associated with a verified Page will display a verification badge.
To access your Verification controls settings:
-
Go to your Page super admin view.
-
Click Settings in the left menu.
-
Click Verification controls.
LinkedIn offers verification badges both for Pages and members associated with the Pages:
- Page verification - When your Page is verified, a verification badge will be displayed next to your organization’s name on the Page.
- Verifications for members through email domains - Once a Page is verified, super admins of the Page can enable members to verify their association with the organization using a work email address. LinkedIn members can then verify their workplace or educational association using the email domains approved by that organization. Once verified, the verification will be displayed on the member’s LinkedIn profile in the About this profile section.
To remove the verification badge from your Page, you can contact us.
Multiple factors are taken into consideration when determining if a Page is verified. Factors may include, but are not limited to:
- Accuracy of certain data points on the Page (example: location, website URL)
- Active Page admin presence
- Page is claimed (not a Listing Page)
- Compliance with LinkedIn policies
Important to know
Page verification isn’t available to all Pages at this time. If you see a Page without a verification badge, it doesn’t necessarily mean that the information on the Page is incorrect or fraudulent. It may simply mean that the Page hasn’t been verified yet by LinkedIn.
However, it’s always a good idea to conduct additional research before engaging with a Page. Some best practices include researching the organization online, visiting their official website, and reviewing their social media profiles.
