Verify your identity to post a job

Last updated: 3 weeks ago

LinkedIn is committed to being a trusted platform for both hirers and seekers and providing authentic career opportunities.

As part of our efforts to prevent fraudulent job postings, where you would otherwise need to promote your job to post it on LinkedIn, in some cases we may allow you to instead verify your identity using a government-issued ID to proceed with posting your job for free.

Where we lack sufficient authenticity signals about your LinkedIn account, you may be unable to post jobs on LinkedIn. In those circumstances, we also may offer you the option to verify your identity using a government-issued ID to be able to post a job.

Job posters based in the U.S, Mexico, or Canada can verify their identity for free through CLEAR by taking a live video selfie and scanning their government ID. Members can choose to scan their driver’s license, state ID, or passport.

Once you have successfully verified your identity, you’ll be able to post a job.
