To start testing Embedded Profiles and Embedded Experiences within a Sandbox environment, we recommend testing each of the features below to ensure a successful connection.
Get started
- Your CRM admin will need to install the latest Sales Navigator app package in Sandbox and ensure the custom-managed Sales Navigator company profiles are added to your account and/or opportunity pages and the custom-managed Sales Navigator member profiles are added to your contact and /or lead pages.
Following are the features we would recommend testing and how to determine if they are working as expected:
On your lead and contact pages, you will need to ensure the custom-managed Sales Navigator member profile has been added. Using this profile, you will be able to see the following tabs:
- Highlights
- Recent Activity
- Related Leads
- Icebreakers
- Get Introduced
To test this feature, complete the following steps:
Verify Embedded Profiles appear on your lead/contact page:
- View a contact or lead record in Salesforce.
- Ensure you see the Embedded Profile on the page.
- Click through the tabs to verify your CRM admin has enabled all experiences.
Save a lead from the member profile view
- Click Save in Sales Navigator.
- Save to a lead list.
- Confirm the new button says View in Sales Navigator.
Send a message from a member profile
- Click the three dots to the right of a lead.
- Click Message.
- Type out a test message and click Send.
To ensure that Embedded Profiles appear on an account/opportunity page:
- View an account or opportunity record in Salesforce.
- Ensure you see the Embedded Profile on the page.
- Click through the tabs to verify your CRM admin has enabled all experiences.
Important to know
Verify single-column view Vs. full page width works for Company Profile
- Go to your page layout on an account and/or opportunity page.
- Ensure you have a section for full width components and one for single column.
- Add the Sales Navigator Custom-Manager Company Profile component to the full width section.
- Add the Sales Navigator Custom-Manager Company Profile component to the full single-column section.
- Save your changes and exit the page layout.
- Verify that the company profiles are appearing.
- Ensure you are on the Overview tab.
- Click Show full summary on Account IQ.
- Verify you are taken to the company page within Sales Navigator.
- Click Save next to a lead.
- Select the Sales Navigator List you wish to save to.
- Verify the button now says Saved.
You can perform these steps only if CRM Sync is established.
- Find a lead that has the not in CRM badge and click on it.
- Click Create Record.
- Click Create.
- Verify the badge has turned to show the lead is now in your CRM.
- Click the Persona filter and select a new Persona.
- Verify that the leads have changed to match the Persona.
Edit Persona from Find Key People
- Click Edit.
- Add a new filter input to the Persona.
- Click Save.
- Verify your results now match that Persona.
- Open Relationship Map tab.
- Click the name of your map.
- Click Create new map.
- Name the test map and click Done.
- Verify you see a new blank map appear.
Expand to full view on Relationship Map
- From the Relationship Map tab, click the expand icon in the top right corner.
- Verify your map will enter into a popup view.
Share a relationship map
- From the Relationship Map tab, click Share on the upper-right corner.
- Type in the name of someone on your Sales Navigator contract and select them.
- Click Send.
- Verify they received an invite to edit your map.
Complete CRM Bulk Actions with Relationship Map (If CRM Sync Enabled)
- Click the Update CRM when it shows at least 1 update.
- Follow the workflow to update and/or create records.
- Verify the records have been created.
Important to know
Changes roles on a lead in the relationship map
- Click No role on a lead card on your map.
- Select a role.
- Verify it has been updated on your lead card.
