Disconnect or remove learners from an organization’s Learning account

Last updated: 1 year ago
LinkedIn Learning allows Enterprise admins to remove specific learners, or disconnect learners' LinkedIn profiles from the organization’s Learning account.

You can also unassign or revoke learner licenses from your organization’s account. (See Related tasks section below for more information.)

Disconnect learners who have the option to connect their LinkedIn profile

To disconnect a learner's profile from their Learning account:

  1. From Learning Management, click People.

  2. Select the Users tab and locate the learner you'd like to remove, then click the More icon.

  3. From the dropdown that appears, select View/edit profile.
  4. On the learner's profile page, click the More icon to the right of the learner's name and select Disconnect LinkedIn profile.

  5. Click Remove.

The learner will automatically receive an email to re-register for LinkedIn Learning. If you wish to remove them entirely from the account, please revoke their license. (See Related tasks section below for more information.)

Remove or delete all types of learners as an admin

As an admin, you can remove or delete users via Me > Authenticate > Automate user management > User Deletion.

Learn more about deleting users in the Related tasks section below.

Here's a tip

Removing specific learners from the organization’s account removes all of their data, including their Learner reports. However, any aggregate report containing the learner’s information doesn’t get recalculated when the license gets removed.

Request disconnection, removal, or deletion of your account as a learner

If your Learning license is provided to you by your organization, you can reach out to your organization's help desk or your Learning admin to request:
  • Your LinkedIn profile be disconnected from your Learning license.

If you’re no longer with the organization, you can perform this task yourself. (See Related tasks section below for more information.)

  • Your Learning license be revoked so you no longer have access.

  • Your Learning account and data be deleted.

Important to know

Depending on your organization's settings, a LinkedIn profile may be required to access LinkedIn Learning. If you disconnect your LinkedIn account, you may not be able to access the premium content that your organization has purchased on your behalf.

You can also unassign or revoke learner licenses from your organization’s account. (See Related tasks section below.)
