Create a single image audience with Matched Audiences in Campaign Manager

Last updated: 4 months ago

Single image ad retargeting allows you to create an audience based on members who’ve engaged with your single image ad on LinkedIn.

When creating a single image ad audience, keep in mind:

  • The total engagement metric of the campaign won't correspond directly to the number of unique people you reach. You'll see the estimated number of people in your audience count when the audience is Ready.
  • Your audience will need to match at least 300 members to be used in your campaign targeting. To optimize your audience scale, consider selecting multiple campaigns and choosing a time frame of 180 or 365 days.

To create a single image ad audience:

  1. Sign in to Campaign Manager.

  2. If you need to switch accounts, click the account name in the upper-left corner of the page and select the correct account name from the dropdown.

  3. Click Plan on the left menu and select Audiences.

  4. Click the Create audience button, then select Matched Audience.

  5. Select Single Image, then click Next.

  6. Name your audience.

  7. Select how members in the audience engaged with your ad. You can choose from:

    • Any interaction with your ad - The sum of all social actions, clicks to Landing Pages, and clicks to LinkedIn Pages, both chargeable and free.
    • People who performed chargeable clicks on your ad - Chargeable clicks are based on the campaign objective that was selected.
  8. Choose the time range of when your audience engaged with your ad. You can select from 30, 60, 90, 180, or 365 days in the past.

    • To create an audience from an ad, the ad doesn’t have to be active, but it must have performance metrics (for example, engagements).
  9. Select the checkbox next to the campaigns you’d like to retarget.

  10. Click Create.
