Search for leads and accounts in Sales Navigator

You can use the Search functionality in Sales Navigator to locate leads and accounts that are relevant for your company. The new collapsible two-paneled search view, the intuitive grouping of filters, and the live updating of results make it easier and faster for you to locate relevant records in Sales Navigator.

To search for leads or accounts in Sales Navigator:

  1. Sign in to Sales Navigator.

  2. On the Sales Navigator Home page, click Lead filters or Account filters, or enter specific leads or accounts into the search bar and press Enter.

    While searching for a lead, as you enter keywords, Sales Navigator will suggest filter combinations for you to use based on the keywords you have entered. These filter combinations are limited to queries that match the Current job title, Geography, Current company and School filters.

    Also, as you search for a lead or an account, Sales Navigator will suggest additional filters that you can specify to refine your lead and account search results. The suggestions are limited to the following filters:

    • For lead search - Current company, Geography, Seniority level and Function.
    • For account search - Headquarters location, Industry, and Company headcount.
  3. On the Search page, you can review the list of filters that are available and select the filters that you think are relevant for your search. Toggle between Lead and Account tabs displayed above the filters to search for leads and accounts.

    As you add filters, the search results page is refreshed with results that match with the filters.

    Here's a tip

    You can select include and exclude as you add filters to fine tune results in fields such as Current Company and function. You can also pin filters as you refine your search criteria. When required, you can unpin the filters you selected and revert to the default pin selections.

  4. After you have fine tuned your search and the results are displayed, you can perform the following actions using the options displayed above your search results:

    • Save search: saves your current search to receive weekly updates as new leads or accounts match the selected criteria.
    • Share search: shares your search results with colleagues for easy collaboration.
