LinkedIn Campaign Manager industry options

In Campaign Manager, you can choose to target Company Industries when you’re defining your target audience. To help you improve the granularity and accuracy of your campaign's targeting, we’re updating our industry options in Campaign Manager.

What's changing:

  • We’ve expanded the number of targetable industries in Campaign Manager. 

  • Industries will have a hierarchical structure, which means that you can select a parent industry to target multiple related industries at once, or you can target a more granular level under the parent industry. For example:

    • You can target Technology, Information and Media, which will target each industry below it. 
    • You can get more exact by targeting the industries below Technology, Information and Media, such as Software Development.

When creating your audience, you can choose from the industry options currently available.

Important to know

If you have active campaigns running during this change, the industry names will automatically update. For better targeting, we recommend that you adjust your campaign using the new industry options.

Keep in mind that our industry options may change over time as we continually work to improve the experience.
