LinkedIn Messaging conversation windows are pop-up chat windows located on the bottom right of every page on the LinkedIn.com website. You can leverage this feature to chat with anyone in your connections list to make conversations faster and more accessible.

A new conversation window will automatically pop up when you receive a new message.

When a conversation is active or when the conversation window has just been opened, the header will be black in color. When the conversation is inactive or if you've clicked elsewhere on the page, the conversation window header turns white.

When you receive an InMail, it will appear at the top of your conversation window pop-up as Opportunities. If you don't have any InMail messages, only the most recent conversations are shown.

Messages you've written, read, and replied to are synced with your LinkedIn messaging.

Conversation windows aren’t available on the LinkedIn mobile app.
