Manage licenses in Talent Hub

Last updated: 2 months ago

Who can use this feature?

Only user and license management admins can manage licenses, permissions, and roles on your LinkedIn Talent Hub contract. To better secure your account, we encourage you to add a back-up admin by assigning admin permissions to a current or new user. This allows an additional user to manage your contract if you depart the company or go on extended leave. You can assign admin permissions to users with the Hiring Manager role without using a paid license.

User and license management admins manage licenses, permissions, and roles for users based on the user's role in the sourcing and hiring process. The chart below provides details on the various actions admins can take in the LinkedIn Admin Center under User & license management:

Action Description
Assign a license to a new user Invite new users to Talent Hub. New users need to activate their license in order to access Talent Hub and collaborate with other users.
Park a license Deactivate a license and keep the user's work. All work can be restored to the original user or reassigned to a new user
Assign no license to an existing user Deactivate a license and delete the user from the dashboard.
Restore (unpark) a license Activate a parked license and assign it back to the original user.
Reassign a license Reassign a user's work to another user. This will deactivate the former user's license. The following information will be reassigned to the new user: pending message responses, received and archived messages, message templates, open jobs, projects, saved searches and notes.
Assign a different license to an existing user Grant an existing user a different license

Here's a tip

An open license must be available to assign, reassign, or restore a license to a user. Please contact your LinkedIn Relationship Manager to change the number of licenses on your Talent Hub contract.

The number of times a license can be reassigned and parked each month is limited. This limit varies per contract. For example, an organization with 15 seats is allowed to park 15 licenses and reassign 15 licenses every 30 days. The reassignment limit is separate from the parking limit.
