The Centre for International Economics (CIE) has released their 2019 report The economic value of pathology: achieving better health, and a better use of health resources which suggests that investment in pathology has not just improved health outcomes, but better economic outcomes as well by detecting conditions earlier and often before symptoms becomes clear.
The report looks at pathology activity in Australia, pathology’s impact on health outcomes, and how the economics of pathology works. You can download the report via this link: Economic value of pathology report PDF
