Role of pathology in lymphoma
Lymphomas are cancers of the lymphoid cells, a particular type of white blood cell which fight infection and monitor the immune system. Diagnosis will likely start with a full blood count, which can be used to exclude other diseases such as leukaemia, or which may indicate that lymphoma is present in the bone marrow (at which point further testing would be ordered).
Olwyn’s story
Olwyn is a Melbourne-based grandmother who likes to be in the thick of things. From her home in Melbourne’s inner north, she’s busy entertaining at home, visiting art galleries and meeting friends out for dinner.
